Brittany Maxwell Hopkins lives to dance and share movement of any kind with her students. Since last year she returned from teaching ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop, and yoga in Beijing, China where she developed the dance program for the Beijing National Day School. Since her return, she has launched Container Collective Yoga in Denver. She formerly was the artistic director of the Wasatch Academy Dance Company in Utah where she developed their dance program from the ground floor. Brittany graduated from Principia College with a degree in Art History where she performed and choreographed within the Theater and Dance Department. After graduation, she moved to Chicago to perform professionally with various jazz and modern dance companies, including the Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago 2nd Company and the Valerie Alpert Dance Company. She has worked with many esteemed choreographers, and has been a guest artist at her alma mater, Principia College, and at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah. Brittany received a “Ticket to Vegas” on the smash television show “So You Think You Can Dance” in 2008. Brittany is thrilled that this will be her 12th summer teaching at the Boulder Jazz Dance Weekend Workshop and dancing with Interweave Dance Theater.
