Am I required to submit a video or resumé for admittance to the BJDW? We do not require students to jump through this hoop to attend the BJDW. That said, we expect students to self-screen to assure they meet our level guidelines. Although a video is not a requirement, if you are unsure whether your level is appropriate we want you to seek our advice and in such cases sometimes a video will help us to better determine if you meet our requirements.
Are there any special requirements for minors? If you are under 18, your registration must be completed by a parent or legal guardian. If you are under 16, there is a special requirement before you register that may apply (depending on when you turn 16). Please click here to see the requirements for 15 year olds.
What is the deadline to register? There is no deadline to register – we will accept registrations until classes are full. Historically we have been able to accommodate many late registrants, however we advise early registration to assure that students get in the classes they want. Enrollment in classes is on a first come, first served basis.

What should I expect after registering? When you submit a registration, you will be emailed a confirmation. We will be contacting you periodically after that with important information regarding the workshop, generally by email, so please check frequently!
Can I register for only one week? Starting July 1st, students may register for one week of classes on a space available basis. We recommend that you register early for the entire two weeks to assure your admittance into classes. Please contact us before attempting to register for less than the entire two weeks.
Can I take a single class? Single class drop-ins are possible during the workshop as long as there is space available in the class. Check with us for single class availability.
What if I can’t take class every day? (For example, you only want Noon Jazz on MWF or T/Th.) Starting July 1st, if there is still space in classes, we will allow students to register for alternative combinations of days. Check with us for our approved alternative combinations.
I have to cancel or want to drop a class, can I get a refund? Refunds are only possible under limited circumstances. Please read our refund policy carefully before submitting registration. Be sure to ask us if you have any questions before you register.
What if a class I want is full? We suggest you register for the other classes you want to take, and check back later to see if space has opened up in the full class due to a cancellation.
